How to Use Pre-Sterilized Grain Spawn Bags

  1. Inoculation: Inject 3-5cc of mushroom spores or

  2. Incubation: Place the bags in a cool, dark location at a temperature between 72-76°F. Within a few weeks, you should see white mycelium growing from the injection point​ .
  3. Colonization: Once the mycelium has grown three
    to four inches, or at about 50% colonization rate, break up the colonized grain and mix it with the uncolonized grain to accelerate the process. When the bag is completely white with mycelium, it’s ready for the next stage​.
